Lee House is an attractive Victorian residence situated in the conservation area of Lynton village. Our sunny South-facing home is situated in a quiet, yet convenient part of Lynton, with lovely views across the village to the hills beyond.
We are ideally located for exploring the beauty of North Devon and Exmoor National Park. Discover the countryside with walks that start on our doorstep; or visit gardens, chocolate-box-pretty villages, historic sites and the many other interesting places nearby. Excellent riding, fishing and golfing facilities can also be found in the area. We are always happy to make suggestions for your daily itineraries and can make bookings and arrangements, should you wish.
Our spacious guest rooms are individually styled and comfortably furnished to the very highest of standards. All rooms are en-suite and complete with every amenity for your stay. Lee House also has a guest lounge and sun-terrace at the front of the property where you can relax and enjoy a drink from our honesty bar.
Whether you are an enthusiastic omnivore or confirmed vegetarian, our breakfast menu offers something for everyone. We are also happy to cater for guests following vegan and gluten free diets; please let us know your requirements when you book.

Softly scrambled eggs and responsibly sourced smoked salmon on a lightly toasted muffin.
Pancakes filled with scrambled egg and mushrooms.
Hot buttered toast topped with a choice of eggs, beans, or tomatoes.
Creamy porridge with your choice of delicious toppings.
Warm butter croissants.

White or brown toast served with butter (or dairy free spread), jam and marmalade.

Our attractive Victorian Residence is situated in the conservation area of Lynton village. Our sunny south-facing home has been sensitively refurbished to combine modern convenience with classic charm.
All guest rooms are en-suite, have thermostatically controlled central heating for your personal comfort and are complete with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our stunning rooms also feature flat screen TV with freeview, hospitality tray, hairdryer and radio alarm clock.
Iron and ironing board available on request, drying facilities available.
Lee House also has free private parking for every room, free WiFi, a guest lounge and sun terrace (perfect for a relaxing pre or post dinner drink - we are fully licensed).

Local Attractions:
Lee House is ideally located for exploring North Devon and the Exmoors coast and country. Lynton is a walker's paradise and many beautiful walks start from our doorstep. We are just a couple of minutes walk from the South West Coast Path and Valley of Rocks.
The famous Victorian built Cliff Railway carries visitors and locals alike between Lynton and her sister village of Lynmouth.
Those wishing to venture slightly further afield can enjoy a visit to one of the National Trust properties nearby. Arlington Court is approximately 10 miles from Lynton and Dunster Castle is approximately 20 miles away. The National Trust also owns land, woodlands and coastline around Lynton, protecting and preserving the landscape. The Watersmeet tea garden falls under this ownership and as it is within easy walking distance from Lee House, many guests enjoy a riverside stroll followed by a Devon Cream Tea.
We are fortunate to have several beautiful gardens nearby. For example, Marwood Hill Gardens is a short drive away and many of our guests also enjoy a visit to RHS Rosemoor.
There are lots of other interesting places to visit and the sports minded will also find golf, fishing, riding and surfing in the area. We will be happy to offer further suggestions when you are here. |
