Pamper yourself at our comfortable and affordably priced B & B accommodation. We have three large guest rooms beautifully decorated in Old English style. You will find our bed & breakfast in New Southgate, the Borough of Enfield, North London. The B & B overlooks a large park complete with tennis courts and a rushing brook. Our road is quietly residential, yet just around the corner from Arnos Grove Tube station. We have off street parking at the front of the guesthouse for your convenience. We will cook you a full English breakfast, or vegetarian if you prefer, with unlimited tea, coffee and serve-yourself-toast. Our dining room opens onto the terrace and garden where breakfast may be served on a warm day. In cooler weather you can enjoy the cosy fireplace in the dining room. Bay Tree House B & B has Wi-Fi and a computer for our guests' use. There is a Harvesters Pub nearby, a great place to eat and drink, a wonderful fish & chip shop, a Chinese restaurant, an Italian deli, an Internet facility plus a bakery/café at the top of our road. Many other restaurants and pubs are only a short distance away. London's West End with all its theatres, museums, shopping and clubs is a short tube ride south. Trent Park, acres of woodland and riding stables, is only two stops north. Whether you are coming from abroad, visiting London from other parts of the U.K. or looking for short stay accommodation on a business trip, you will find Bay Tree House B and B a comfortable retreat. Local Attractions: There are lovely views across Arnos Park. Scattered with sweeping willow trees, a beautiful brook with two small waterfalls, this grassy park still bears the scars today of a contentious history. In his bid to dissolve England’s monasteries, Henry VIII confiscated the land, then owned by the Roman Catholic Church. The land was snatched from the Nuns of Clerkenwell and became Arnos Grove Estate. The actual park was later created in 1928 out of 44 acres of wood and lush meadow. A brick built, eye-catching viaduct runs through the park carrying the Piccadilly line. It is a fresh, open-space for kids to run about in. They can clamber on the playground or play hide and seek among the trees. There are also some great free tennis courts and a small putting green for keen golfers.
